Conferences
The Playhouse Hotel’s self-contained conference room is suitable for groups of up to around 30, depending on how the room is set up. Tables can be arranged in various styles, e.g. u-shaped, in rows or round table-style. Iced drinking water is provided. We can also supply two whiteboards (large and small), a flipchart stand and data projector giving an image 1.75 x 1.00 metres, easily visible even in bright daylight. A good sound system is also available with the projector. We offer various “break out” spaces around the hotel (depending on availability). Hirers must bring their own laptop, whiteboard markers and flipchart paper.
We can cater for all tea breaks and meals, as required. All food is freshly prepared on premises.
Larger conferences can use the 80-seat auditorium, which enables a projected laptop image of 4 m x 2 m. Amplification is mostly not necessary in the theatre, but can be provided.
The conference room hire fee is $80 for the first hour, $40 for each subsequent hour capped at $220 for to an eight hour period. Any set up or pull down time for your organiser needs to be part of your booked time. Theatre hire fee is $300 per day or part thereof.
